Join Laura Martin as she takes us on a journey of artistic discovery to learn all about how collage was "invented" and became a fine art form -- one of the few for which we have a specific date and creator. She will situate collage in the context of its precursor objects, especially the book-related ones, as she highlights the innovative early adopters of one of the 20th century's most influential art forms. Then, time permitting, she will provide an introduction to some of its most interesting contemporary practitioners and modifications. Art by Mary Delaney
